RALLY AGAINST THE TRANS-PACIFIC PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT

29 March 2014 - Nationwide demonstrations against the TRANS-PACIFIC STRATEGIC AND ECONOMIC PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT. In AUCKLAND, Aotea Square, 1 pm. Meet the Bruvs there and march with them. Easy as. The TPPA is a "free trade" and investment agreement with the United States and 10 other countries that will sell out New Zealand's sovereignty for the benefit of the 1%. Our environment, our healthcare system, workers' rights, and the ability to govern ourselves are seriously threatened by the TPPA. Original Signatory countries are: New Zealand, Singapore, Chile and Brunei (since 2005). Potential New members are: USA, Australia, Canada, Peru, Vietnam, Malaysia, Mexico, Japan. Taiwan and South Korea announced interest as well. Other countries have expressed interest as well in joining the TPPA: Philippines, Laos, Colombia, Indonesia, Cambodia, Bangladesh, India and CHINA. We'll see what happens. Maybe at the moment, better don't allow new members to join: NZ, Chile, Brunei and Singapore are enough...
